Install Driver Wifi DELL Inspiron 1410 (W459N)-di Ubuntu. Dua minggu yang lalu saya membeli laptop DELL Inspiron 1410 (W459N) di situ udah ada OS nya, yaitu Ubuntu 8.04 dan di sertai DVD Ubuntu 8.04 nya tapi ternyata wifi nya belum bisa jalan, langsung deh saya upgrade dengan Ubuntu 8.10, tapi ternyata masih juga belum bisa berjalan wifi nya. sudah terdeteksi cuman belum bisa di gunakan.

Ok, langsung saja mari kita ngoprek, ikuti langkah-langkah sebagai berikut:

Buka Terminal dan jalankan perintah ini :

1. $ sudo apt-get install build-essential
2. $ wget -c http://unhas.ac.id/poss/download/madwifi-ng-r2756+ar5007/madwifi-hal-0.10.5.6-r3861-20080903.tar.gz
3. $ tar xfz madwifi-hal-0.10.5.6-r3861-20080903.tar.gz
4. $ cd madwifi-hal-0.10.5.6-r3861-20080903
5. $ make
6. $ sudo make install
7. $ sudo modprobe ath_pci

Setelah itu restart komputer anda, sampai tahap ini ternyata belum bisa maka lakukan tahap di bawah ini

1. klik System –> administrator –> Hardware Driver
2. klik Active pada hardware driver
3. klik ok
4. dan restart
